Translogik receives iProbe order Bridgestone Brazil
Transense sales subsidiary Translogik Limited reports that it has received an order from Bridgestone Brazil iProbe commercial tyre inspection tool. According to the company, Bridgestone began work on integrating the iProbe into its systems in April (see announcement dated 21 April 2011). This work is now complete and, following a successful field trial and positive feedback from Bridgestone's customers, it is anticipated that further orders will follow as part of an on-going deployment programme by Bridgestone.
Bridgestone Brazil, in partnership with Translogik and its South American partner, Budini Inc., has developed a tyre inspection software solution built around the iProbe, for mobile devices running on the Apple iOS and Android platforms. Bridgestone Brazil will use the iProbe and software as a complete tyre monitoring and reporting system for its commercial tyre customers and independent service providers, helping to ensure the optimum performance of the tyres.
Gustavo Gonçalves, development coordinator at Bridgestone Bandag Tire Solutions commented: “We have already seen considerable interest in the iProbe and our tyre inspection software solution and we are confident of securing future business. The tyre industry is increasingly moving towards fully integrated end-to-end asset management and reporting systems and the ability to integrate RFID support into our solutions using the iProbe is vitally important, allowing us to stay at the forefront of the industry at a time when many of the major tyre manufacturers have begun releasing RFID enabled products. The ability to integrate the powerful Translogik tools with our mobile software solutions offers considerable benefits, allowing our customers to differentiate their products through various value added services.”
Graham Storey, CEO of Transense commented, “This is a fantastic endorsement of the iProbe. A key component of Translogik’s commercial strategy is to identify and develop the markets that offer the greatest growth potential and are likely to be least affected by the current challenging global economic climate. Emerging markets such as South America offer enormous growth opportunities for Translogik now and in the future. We look forward to developing our relationships with both Bridgestone and Budini in the coming years.”
