Scottish parts distributor opens 2 branches, upgrades software
Scotland’s leading auto parts distributor, Dingbro has opened two new branches in Dumfries and Stranraer, increasing its network to 23 sites. The new branches have been placed to support garages and workshops in the south west of Scotland. "I’m delighted at the recent additions to the network. Expansion is always exciting for us, but even more so in a challenging economic climate,” said Gary Dingwall, managing director, Dingbro.
Over the last six months Dingbro has opened four branches, and the firm has provided additional support for its network with investment in new software. The company became the first Parts Alliance member to launch the new version of AlliCat online, The Parts Alliance’s online catalogue and parts ordering system which now integrates with the leading garage management system, GS One Stop. The system was developed with the involvement of a customer steering group, which identified customer needs and requirements.
GS Onestop standard features include job cards, work scheduling, customer records, reminders and training. Dingbro’s system also integrates Autodata’s service schedules and repair times. The inclusion of the AlliCat catalogue, and offline capability make it a robust solution even in areas with unreliable broadband links.
Dingbro’s GS Onestop system allows customers to place orders and receive responses direct from the company, which saves garage staff a huge amount of time, according to The Parts Alliance.
