Pro-Align makes DCM Tyres its first Alignment Centre of the Month
Wheel alignment equipment specialist, Pro-Align has made DCM Tyres in Shaftesbury its first ‘Alignment Centre of the Month’ winner for January 2012. The Hunter distributer says DCM has enjoyed a considerable month on month increase in turnover and profit generated from its HawkEye HD imaging aligner, installed five months ago when the Shaftesbury site opened. The retailer reports income of £4,000 from the machine in January alone.
Paul Beaurain, managing director, Pro-Align, said: “Our congratulations go to DCM Tyres, Pro-Align’s inaugural alignment centre of the month winner. The drive and commitment shown by Dave and Charlie is an example to us all. Their success is further proof that offering a quality wheel alignment service is a very attractive and profitable revenue stream, something that more and more tyre dealers are realising to their advantage.”
DCM Tyres, which has another site in Blandford Forum, is a father and son venture. Dave Evans has more than 30 years in the tyre business and together with his son, Charlie they decided in the summer of 2011 that there was a further opportunity for growth in the Shaftesbury area, acquiring a prime site on a busy business park.
Realising the business opportunities, Charlie said: “Our new Shaftesbury site was the perfect opportunity to expand into wheel alignment. Of course, we looked at equipment from rival manufacturers but after we experienced the Hunter range first hand at Pro-Align’s head office in the Midlands there was no-one else in the running.”
The equipment selected for their wheel servicing bay that has contributed to so much success for DCM Tyres includes; a Hunter HawkEye HD imaging aligner and wheel alignment lift, a GSP9200 wheel balancer, and a TCX550 and TCX525 tyre changers. DCM has an annual alignment revenue target of £65,000. The company plans to open another new site later this year.
