Cam Systems supports decision not to change MOT system
Cam Systems has told tyrepress.com that it welcomes the decision taken on 2 February by Transport secretary Justine Greening to retain the 3-1-1 MOT system. The software provider to the independent tyre industry calls the move a victory for sanity.
Mike Allen, managing director of Cam Systems, says: “We’re pleased the Government saw beyond the small amount of financial savings to be gained by the potential change. Vehicle safety is paramount and engaging with consumers on an annual basis means that governance of tyre wear remains secure. It also means that the potential threat the industry faced by the proposed measure has been lifted, which is excellent news in these tough economic times.”
