Toyama – Japanese firm producing in China
Another new name to Tyres & Accessories was Toyama Tyre Corp., Ltd., a company that reportedly runs its own factory in Shandong Province’s rubber city, Qingdao. The leadership of the business is said to have moved to China after having originally established itself as Japanese entity. In fact the company takes it moniker from the Japanese city of the same name.
According to its own literature, the company specialises in tyre manufacture, R&D, sales and after-sales service and also provides “professional and systematic tYre solutions.” Toyama brand tyres and tubes come in a variety of passenger car, truck and bus, construction and mining, industrial and agricultural tyre fitments.
The company’s customer service philosophy is to seek “mutual interests through close communication with partners and customers”. And to this end the company has reportedly gained ISO 9001, DOT, e-marking, TUV, Inmetro and CCC approval.
This article was corrected on 11 January, 2012: though it’s logo appears to read “Toyoma” the company’s name is Toyama Tyre Corp., Ltd.
