STACK attends 24th Performance Racing show
Stack Ltd exhibited at the 24th Performance Racing trade show in Orlando Florida at the start of December. The company, which is a leading global supplier of instrumentation, video-loggers and data acquisition systems to the Motorsport Industry reportedly has a firm foundation in Formula One and an increasing interest in high-tech tyre pressure monitoring systems (TPMS).
Stack showed its award winning batteryless TPMS which uses SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) sensing element technology. The clever thing about this technology is that it is passive, and does not require any additional conditioning electronics or battery power in the on-wheel sensor. Stack reports that its batteryless TPMS extends the inherent sensor life from 1-5 years to 10-15 years.
In addition the company showed its range of Digital Video Loggers (DVLs). The new range of Digital Video-Loggers can be used as a conventional Digital Video recorder (DVR) to record high-quality video and audio but now they can also record data. Up to 128 channels of data, including GPS and the internal 3-axis g-sensor channels, can be recorded with up to 4 camera inputs and 2 audio channels. Stack DVLs can be connected directly to most Stack Dash Displays or Data logging system by CAN Bus.
Stack manufactures electronic dashboard instruments as well as data and video recording systems alongside its specialist sensors and sensor systems, including the tyre pressure and temperature monitoring system. Primary markets are said to be motorsport, automotive testing, aerospace and military.
