Rzonzef new Commercial Sales VP for Goodyear Dunlop EMEA
Goodyear Dunlop has announced its appointment of Michel Rzonzef as the new vice president of its EMEA Commercial Sales and Marketing Product business unit, responsible for “driving a single aligned strategy and operating plan for commercial vehicle tyres”, according to the company’s announcement.
Prior to his new position, Rzonzef was president of The Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Company’s business in Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa. He joined Goodyear in 1987 as a tyre test management engineer. He held various positions at the Goodyear Innovation Center in Luxembourg before joining the European regional marketing group.
After becoming sales manager for Goodyear Dunlop in South Eastern Europe, he was appointed general manager of the company’s operations in Central Europe. In 2002, he became director of Sales and Marketing for the Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa region and the region’s president in 2008. He holds a degree in electro-mechanical engineering from the University of Liege, Belgium.
Arthur de Bok, EMEA president, Goodyear Dunlop Europe said that Rzonzef’s appointment was “part of our efforts to further build organizational excellence.” He said further that the company’s commercial tyre business “is a key pillar or our future success”, and that he was confident that Rzonzef would help Goodyear Dunlop to “address future challenges even more successfully.”
