Hitachi Capital renews ATS Euromaster supply deal
ATS Euromaster has announced the renewal of its three-year deal with Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions. The fast-fitter and service provider supplies Michelin replacement tyres across a fleet of more than 51,000 cars, light commercial vehicles and trucks. The agreement extends a partnership that began in 1991. ATS-E will also provide a range of fast-fit services including batteries, brakes, exhausts, oil and shock absorbers, as well as MOTs, fault diagnostics and air conditioning re-gassing.
Tim Bowden, head of Operations at Hitachi Capital Vehicle Solutions, says: “Over the years, we’ve put ATS Euromaster to the test and we’ve found their attentiveness, attention-to-detail and the added flexibility of their mobile service offering to be excellent. ATS Euromaster’s high standard of service delivery is also highlighted in our Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) programme, where the company scores strongly for positive driver feedback.”
Commenting on the fitment policy, Bowden adds: “We specify Michelin tyres as they are widely recognised as a quality premium tyre in the fleet sector. This policy directly benefits our customers, as fitting Michelin’s is a contributor to optimising vehicle safety and fuel efficiency.”
The contract also allows Hitachi Capital’s car customers to request routine tyre safety inspections, carried out on-site by a professional ATS Euromaster fleet inspector. These checks help to support an employer’s Duty of Care responsibilities by ensuring excellent tyre condition is maintained across the fleet.
Bowden adds that the inspections, which can be organised wherever a large number of vehicles are routinely based, assess tread depth and overall tyre condition. Drivers are then advised of any tyre replacements or servicing work required.
The contract allows Hitachi Capital customers to visit any of ATS Euromaster’s 370 centres nationwide. They can also take advantage of pre-bookable appointments with ATS Euromaster’s mobile tyre fitting fleet – the largest of its type in the country. This enables tyres and batteries to be fitted at a location convenient to the customer, such as their home or place of work. Over the last three years mobile fitting has grown to represent up to around 28 per cent of all tyre replacements carried out for Hitachi Capital.
