Goodyear Dunlop launches fuel efficiency website

Goodyear Dunlop has launched a website and related Twitter feed to provide fuel efficiency information to fleets. The site will offer the company’s tips on saving fuel, best practice case studies in green fleet management, and details on Goodyear Dunlop’s upcoming fleet symposium ‘Driving fuel efficiency in Europe’s road freight transport’. The event will take place in Brussels, Belgium on 25 January.

According to a survey of more than 400 fleet managers, 28 per cent say they lack the information to help make greater fuel efficiency savings. “We see the website as a forum for fleets across Europe to come for advice, support, and information for improving their fuel efficiency,” said Boris Stevanovic, EMEA marketing director truck tyres, Goodyear Dunlop Europe.

The company’s symposium will host European policy makers, industry experts, and transportation academics, who together will share the latest innovations, legislative trends and research in improving fuel efficiency and reducing CO2 emissions across the continents’ varying markets. The keynote speech will be delivered by Siim Kallas, the vice-president of European Commission and commissioner responsible for transport.

Fleets can visit Goodyear Dunlop’s new website at www.fleet-fuel-efficiency.eu, while its Twitter feed is named @efficientfleet.
