Goodway launches GIIB housemark
Malaysian retreading specialist Goodway Rubber Industries is drawing its five product brands together under a new housemark, GIIB. Pronounced ‘gheeb’, this new ‘umbrella’ brand name is intended to represent a new phase in Goodway’s growth and business direction; the company says the GIIB name unifies the brands and presents customers with a more dynamic message.
“As we forge ahead with new improved products and services, we also focused on our corporate branding,” commented Goodway group CEO Tai Boon Wee. “We are now centralising all our brands under our new housemark ‘GIIB’. As a symbol to represent the passion in quality built into all our products, GIIB is formed by the reputation of safety and reliability, and this mark shall serve as an assurance to all customers and end users who constantly seek for a reliable and reputable product.”
The GIIB brand encompasses Goodway’s five brands – Supercool Beluga, Rübtek, Supercool Retread Franchise, Speedflex and Tough Tread. Each of these is geared to cater to different market segments within the retread and rubber sectors. Goodway comments that “armed with these successful brands and a new corporate identity, GIIB is poised to spearhead further and be recognised as one of the global leaders in the industry.”
