Electric car sales sluggish
A report in the UK press says that there are more charging points for electric cars in the UK than there are actual vehicles on the road.
Since 2006, says the Daily Mail, 2,149 electric cars have been sold, despite a government scheme offering purchasers incentives of up to £5,000. In the same period, 2,500 charging points were installed.
