We Sell Tyres (Wholesale) MD Jackson retires

After 42 successful years in the tyre industry, Alan Jackson, managing director of Grouptyre member We Sell Tyres (Wholesale), has announced his retirement. Jackson’s successor will be Andy Zelos, who will take over as wholesale director from 1 January, 2012. Zelos has also joined the board of directors at Grouptyre. Jackson and Zelos have worked together for over twenty years, both at WS Tyremasters and subsequently at We Sell Tyres (Wholesale).

Jackson’s career began in 1969 where he worked for Mann Egerton in Norwich, which is now Inchcape.  In 1971, he left Mann Egerton to join ATS, where he served 32 years in various roles, leaving WS Tyremasters in 2003 to join the Tanvic Group, and setting up We Sell Tyres (Wholesale).

CEO of Tanvic Group, Steve McCracken said: “Alan has made a huge contribution to the success of the Tanvic wholesale operation and in particular in establishing the very successful Norwich warehouse, which lead to rebranding the other TS Wholesale operations to the now well recognised We Sell Tyres (Wholesale) brand.  We would all like to thank him for his dedication and hard work over the years and to wish him and his family all the best in his retirement”.
