TYM International seals long term deal with Triangle
Norfolk-based tyre business TYM International has secured its continuing relationship with leading Chinese tyre manufacturer Triangle Tyres. The deal was sealed following meetings between TYM International general manager Steve Eke and Triangle senior vice president and international export director Lin Bin at the manufacturer’s Weihai, Shandong Province headquarters at the end of November. Furthering a relationship that first began in 2004, the agreement sees the two companies aim to develop their growing mutual business in the UK earthmover, truck and passenger car tyre segments.
Confirming the details of the news, Steve Eke told Tyres & Accessories that two companies’ business had been particularly successful when it comes to selling earthmover products. Since 2008 TYM has experienced double digit growth in both the volume and value of its products, in part driven by growing demand for Triangle tyres. One example of this growth can be seen in the rapid development of Triangle truck tyres, which grew by 10,000 units between this point in 2010 and the end of November 2011.
Commenting on the news, Steve Eke told Tyres & Accessories “TYM International is delighted to have extended our long-term agreement to act as Triangle importer for earthmover, truck and passenger car tyres in the UK.”
