South African role for Goodyear Dunlop’s Sowerby – Preedy named successor
As of 1 January Marc Preedy will take over from Nigel Sowerby as Goodyear Dunlop’s Commercial business unit director for the UK and Ireland. In announcing the customer strategy manager’s promotion, Goodyear Dunlop states the appointment “recognises Marc’s major contribution to the business since his recruitment just two years ago.”
His new role involves overseeing the various Commercial business unit operations, including truck, off the road and farm tyres, as well as the TruckForce tyre service and breakdown network. Preedy will report administratively to George Rietbergen, general manager UK and Ireland and functionally to Michel Rzonzef, vice-president Commercial Sales/Marketing EMEA.
“I am delighted to become the new director of our Commercial business in the UK & Ireland, and very much look forward to building on the solid foundations put in place by Nigel Sowerby,” stated Preedy. “It is business as usual as we continue to grow and add new Fleet business to our existing portfolio of accounts, all managed expertly by TruckForce, our industry leading service arm”
Meanwhile, current business unit director Nigel Sowerby has been appointed to the new position of director Retail Operations and Commercial Sales, South Africa.
