Madonna confirmed for Bridgestone Super Bowl Show
Sporting events in the US don’t get any bigger than the Super Bowl, and the American football game’s halftime show is a magnet for leading musical acts. In past years The Who, Michael Jackson, Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and U2 have made appearances, and on 5 February the Bridgestone-sponsored halftime show will feature no less a talent than Madonna.
The Bridgestone Super Bowl halftime show is, according to the tyre maker, America’s most-watched musical event of the year. More than 162 million viewers in the US tuned in last year, and the event also attracted a healthy international audience. For her appearance at the Bridgestone Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show, Madonna has partnered with a creative team from Cirque du Soleil, Jamie King, and multimedia artists from Moment Factory.
This is the fifth time Bridgestone Americas has sponsored the Super Bowl halftime show. The tyre maker’s new brand campaign, titled “Time to Perform,” will debut during the game.
