Hunter Elite TD given US innovation award
Alignment machinery manufacturer Hunter has been recognised for its technological innovation at SEMA. The company was presented with the 2011 North American Frost & Sullivan ‘Technology Innovation Award’ for its Elite TD alignment system. The award was presented to Hunter executive vice president Nick Colarelli by Frost & Sullivan programme leader Stephen Spivey. The system is distributed in the UK by Pro-Align.
Spivey said: “Hunter Engineering’s recent advances in automotive service equipment design speeds inspection and service processes, reduces the risk of damage, simplifies equipment operation and employee training, enhances customer satisfaction, decreases equipment obsolescence, and makes service businesses more profitable.”
According to Pro-Align, the Hunter HawkEye Elite TD delivers a measurement time of 90 seconds. It has a new integrated wheel clamp and its new QuickComp system allows the essential runout compensation to be carried out with one short roll forward.
Paul Beaurain, managing director, Pro-Align, said: “As shown by the latest award, Hunter continues to lead the market thanks to many industry firsts and a proud history of innovation. Its latest model is no exception and more than lives up these values, offering a variety of time saving features. We are already seeing a great reaction from UK workshops and we expect the strong demand to be boosted even further with this prestigious accolade.”
Each year, business research and consulting firm Frost & Sullivan presents an award to the company that has demonstrated uniqueness in developing a technology, which makes a significant impact on both its functionality and the added value to the customer. In particular, the award recognises the relevance of the innovation to the industry.
