Conti announces UK personnel changes
A new addition to the Continental Tyre Group, Ian Forster, has taken over responsibility for the company’s Eastern region. In his new position, Forster will be in charge of an area that includes North London and East Anglia; his overall responsibilities include driving sales of Continental’s commercial tyre products for truck, bus and coach as well as being a principal point of contact between Conti360° network partners and regional fleet customers.
“I am really looking forward to my new role and learning more about the commercial tyre industry, said Forster. In the first few months it is one of my main priorities to meet our customers and partners in the Eastern half of the UK and determine how best to meet their tyre needs.”
Forster has over a decade of sales experience and previously worked for eight years at a leading vehicle rental firm in both sales and operational roles before moving into a new sales role at SignPost Solutions, a position he held for three years prior to joining Continental.
Also starting out in a new position at Continental is Neil Davies, who has been promoted to national fleet key account manager. In this new role, Davies will secure new national commercial fleet partnerships across the UK and Ireland and implement dynamic sales strategies. “My initial aim is to enhance the current national fleet relationships, using the knowledge acquired during my 25 years in the industry,” commented Davies. “I can demonstrate the success of Continental Tyres’ product innovations and whole life cost approach. I hope to bring about new and exciting key account opportunities and meet challenges for both existing and new business.”
“With Continental’s expanding network of Conti360° dealers and fleet customers, we are confident in both Ian and Neil’s abilities to help grow the business and maintain the excellent relationships we have with our customers,” stated Arthur Gregg, sales and marketing director – commercial. “On behalf of Continental, we would like to wish them the very best in their respective new roles.”
