Animal transport firm switches to Alcoa wheels
Venneker based in Nordkirchen, Germany has opted to switch all its new trailers to Alcoa wheels. Venneker has over 35 years of experience in cattle trade and transport. The firm operates 48 trucks and more than 40 ultra-modern trailers and semitrailers to transport the animals, observing the latest EU regulations.
Workshop manager Nolte, who came to Venneker two years ago from a truck manufacturer with many years of experience, took a critical look at the wheels issue. The regular failure of aluminium wheels from other manufacturers led to the complete switch for all trucks and trailers to Alcoa’s Mirror Polished aluminium wheels.
Since Alcoa introduced the 17.5 x 6.75 aluminium low deck trailer wheel, 15 new trailers have been ordered from a South German manufacturer over the past months, all equipped with these wheels. Here as well, the increase in load and the high product quality of the Alcoa aluminium wheels were major advantages.
”The next step”, according to workshop manager Nolte, “will be the switch for all new trucks to Alcoa’s Dura-Bright wheels”.
