Silverstone preparing for South American exports

Malaysian news agency Bernama reports that Silverstone Bhd intends to begin exporting tyres to Brazil and Argentina early in 2012. Speaking with the agency at the launch of the company’s Atlantis V7 passenger car tyre, Silverstone CEO Paul Chan said the tyre maker, who was acquired by Toyo Tire & Rubber last year, expects to export more than 10,000 tyres per month to Brazil and Argentina.

The new Atlantis V7, incidentally, is an asymmetric tyre that is currently available in 11 sizes for 15 to 17-inch rim diameters. Three further sizes will be added to the range in the near future, the company reports.
