Reports ask: Is Titan buying old Goodyear plant?

Local TV stations in the US (namely WPSD-TV in Paducah, Kentucky), is reporting that the now closed Goodyear plant in Union City., Tennessee, may open up again soon. Tire Review reports that rumours are flowing through the community that a "major company" is looking at the plant with an eye toward potentially buying, modifying and reopening the facility.

According to the TV station, “Several high-level and reliable sources, who wish to remain anonymous, told WPSD that a number of large industries and companies are eying the facility. One of those companies is Titan Tire.” For its part, Titan told the station that it doesn’t comment on “those types of situations.” (Tire Review)
