Goodyear launches online OTR assistance programme
Goodyear is introducing a new programme aimed at OTR tyre users. Called ‘Goodyear at Service’, the internet-based programme will be available to all off-road plant operators in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. Goodyear says it will “ensure that each customer gets the best possible expert support when purchasing and operating Goodyear tyres.”
Registering for ‘Goodyear at your Service’ provides plant operators with an easier means of communicating with their local OTR specialists and obtaining needed help or information as quickly as possible. “With our tyres operating in some of the most remote places in the world, such as in mines and quarries that may be miles from the nearest town or even highway, it is not possible to visit some customers as often as we or they would like”, said Mike King, managing director of Goodyear OTR Tyres. “Serving customers who are buying our OTR tyres has always been part of our strategy and it is something that not all manufacturers do. ‘Goodyear at your Service’ links us directly to our customers so we can very quickly respond to any request. By registering, the customer can give us the background information we need to know when giving a tyre recommendation or tyre-related advice.”
Registration for the programme can be submitted online at http://otr.goodyear.eu/registration. The registration process offers two possibilities; users can simply ask a question or request information and requires only basic data from the user, while those seeking more in-depth advice can submit additional data to this end. Once the registration process has been completed the information is sent to the user’s respective local region.
In order to promote this new tool, every OTR tyre leaving the Goodyear tyre plant in Luxemburg will carry new stickers carrying information about the programme and how to register for it. Additionally, a QR code has been placed on the label to ease registration for users using smart phones.
