Tire Group International appoints business development VP

Tire Group International has announced its appointment of Osvaldo Marchante as vice-president of business development. Marchante has more than 25 years of extensive automotive and on/off highway industry experience with multinationals. He was most recently the president and CEO of Detroit Diesel-Allison (Florida), overseeing eight full service facilities and a network of multiple dealers, customers and OEM’s throughout Florida.

Prior to relocating to Florida, Marchante spent 3 years as president and CEO of Detroit Diesel-Allison de Mexico where he was responsible for all day-to-day operations of DDAM and its country-wide dealer network.

“Osvaldo’s extensive automotive and on/off highway industry experience coupled with his Fortune 500 background in a domestic and international capacity bring significant value to TGI.  His experience and skill-set will be a tremendous asset to TGI and will allow us to fast-track our aggressive, global growth strategies.” said Tony Gonzalez, Tire Group International’s chief executive officer.

As part of the restructuring process, Orlando Delgado the former senior vice-president of business development, will now assume the role of SVP sales & marketing for TGI.  “One of our core values has been to develop our people.  This move will further enhance TGI’s management”, said Gonzalez.
