Mitas applies renaming policy to German sales company
On October 1, the German sales company operated by Mitas, ‘CGS Reifen Deutschland GmbH’, altered its company name to 'Mitas GmbH'. This renaming took place as part of the Czech Republic-based agricultural tyre manufacturer’s plan, announced in July, to bring the names of all 13 of its sales subsidiaries in line with that of the company’s core tyre brand over a three-month period.
“The company’s renaming enables us to concentrate upon marketing and sales activities,” commented Gerhard Schulterobben, managing director of the German sales company.
Mitas has produced Continental brand agricultural tyres under license since acquiring Continental’s agricultural business and agricultural tyre factory in Otrokovice, Czech Republic in 2004. Over the course of the past 12 months the company has consolidated its sales network to include the sale of all Mitas-produced tyres, including Mitas, Cultor and Continental agricultural tyres. “Mitas changed the company name purely for marketing reasons. The structure of ownership remains unchanged,” explained Mitas marketing and sales director Andrew Mabin.
