Saab dealerships offering winter tyre packages, snow socks

Swedish car brand Saab is offering winter tyre packages through its dealerships in October, offering alloy wheels and winter rubber from £559, excluding fitment. David Leighton, business development manager for aftersales at Saab GB, notes that winter tyres “reduce braking distances and suffer less wear and tear, thus offering not only peace of mind, but a cost-saving benefit too.”

Saab dealerships are also preparing for the winter by stocking a range of products from AutoSock to help motorists deal with driving in snowy conditions. Developed by scientists working with the Norwegian Ski team, AutoSock Snow Socks are durable textile socks that fit over the driving wheels of a car to wick away water found between the ground and the tyres, offering a strong grip on the surface.

Leighton adds: “At Saab, we understand how difficult it can be to drive in the snow, which is why our dealerships are also stocking snow socks as an alternative to snow chains or winter tyres.” Prices for the Snow Socks start at £54.95.
