Rapid growth for Michelin US service network
In the nine months since Michelin launched its new service option for US-based commercial vehicle operators, network coverage has increased by almost 70 per cent. The tyre maker reports that some 200 locations have been added to the Michelin Commercial Service Network in this time. Alongside this growth, Michelin says it has beefed up its ONCall Emergency Road Service (ERS); the tyre maker reports the ERS network now handles a projected 80 per cent more events this year than it did in 2010.
“The Michelin Commercial Service Network and its use by fleets continue to grow because customers are seeing the benefits of a consistent, comprehensive service package from coast to coast,” commented Bill Guzick, vice president of business development for Michelin Americas Truck Tires. “Wherever they go, fleets have access to certified service technicians, trained to maximise fleets’ uptime. And with online reporting and tracking tools, fleets are able to analyse their service needs to gain greater efficiency.”
