Maxxis plans to improve range accessibility
Following the news that Maxxis has ended its exclusive relationship with Grouptyre, and with everything pointing to the likelihood that a new distributor will soon be announced, the company has announced how it intends to make a much broader range of its car, van and 4×4 tyres available.
According to a statement released by the company, while continuing to develop its profile and grow its share of the UK tyre market, Maxxis plans to ensure that its product portfolio is readily accessible to retailers across the whole of the UK.
“We are very excited about the evolution of Maxxis as a global tyre brand and would like to thank UK tyre retailers who have bought our tyres for their support, because they played a vital role in helping us get to where we are now,” says Maxxis International UK’s managing director Derek McMartin.
“We have been listening to our dealers and consumers alike, and recognise the need to deliver the full range of products in the full size range across the whole of the UK. This challenge has not been easy, it has taken time to understand what is required to make sure we can deliver an infrastructure to support the growth of Maxxis and our dealers. We are almost there, the first shipments to support the new plans have left the factories, and will soon be able to announce our plans, but until then we ask our dealers to bear with us a little longer.
“Maxxis is continuing to invest in new plant to meet our growing OE business with the world’s leading car makers and we remain totally committed to increasing our UK market share and evolving Maxxis into an even stronger brand that delivers sound, profitable business for all those who sell it.”
