Klarius appoints new European sales director
Bas Donders has been appointed European sales director for the Klarius Group. Donders will be responsible for European sales growth across the entire portfolio of aftermarket brands.
According to the company, Bas Donders has an “exemplary record of achievement” in generating sales growth via both market and product range development, having successfully headed European sales and management teams for Delphi, Valeo and other major players in the European automotive component parts supply chain.
Commenting on his appointment Donders stated: “This role is ideal for someone with vision and energy. The opportunity to join a positive thinking and dynamic management team that has already made a series of shrewd financial and acquisitive moves is very attractive to me. The achievement is especially impressive since they have also improved product quality and delivered innovative thinking in terms of supporting customers, this is a powerful motivating factor for me personally. Having already managed significant growth and change within large teams across Europe, and with a clear brief from the board I am looking forward to turning Klarius plans into reality with some relish.”
Paul Hannah, Klarius international business development director added: “There is tremendous pressure within the automotive aftermarket at the moment to cut costs, but instead of immediately trying to reduce already tight product margins we have looked at the broader picture of our business relationships. Taking this holistic lean approach we have been able to cut costs significantly for our customers by making business relationships more efficient and being more transparent about our shared objectives than the trade is used to.”
