Cooper Tire shares mark 52-week low

Shares in Cooper Tire & Rubber Company hit a new 52-week low on Monday 12 September trading at $10.36, below the previous 52-week low of $10.50. According to a report at thestreet.com, Cooper Tire & Rubber has a market capitalisation of $696 million and shares were down 53.6 per cent year-to-date at the close of trading on Friday 9 September.

TheStreet Ratings rated Cooper Tire & Rubber as a hold pointing out that the company’s strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as “revenue growth, reasonable valuation levels and notable return on equity.” However, as a counter to these strengths the report also pointed to weaknesses including “deteriorating net income, generally poor debt management and poor profit margins.”
