Continental launches Scooty, Traily and Classic scooter tyres
Continental has released the Scooty, Traily and Classic scooter tyres which will run alongside the current Twist and K62 products in the range. According to the company, all are suitable for front or rear fitment. All three new tyres will be available from mid-September.
Referring to the Scooty, Continental reports that the latest profile design technology gives “light handling response and the tread design gives optimum water evacuation for riding safety in poor weather conditions.” Meanwhile the newly formulated compound is said to give excellent wet road grip and high mileage durability, making the Scooty the ideal choice for year-round riding. Scooty sizes include: 3.50-10 59L Tubeless; 100/80-10 58L Tubeless; 100/90-10 61J Tubeless; 120/70-12 51P Tubeless; 130/70-12 56P Tubeless; and 130/60-13 60L Tubeless.
The Traily is described as a “rugged tread pattern…suitable for on-road and occasional off-road use and the new compound gives good grip in varying weather conditions.” The Traily comes in: 120/90-10 57L Tubeless and 130/90-10 61L Tubeless.
And finally the Classic features a tread pattern design that is purportedly combined with a modern compound that for “up-to-date performance and everyday riding durability to a traditional looking tyre.” Classic sizes include 3.00-10 50J Tube Type and 3.50-10 59L Tube Type.
Continental two wheel UK product manager, Dave Humphreys said: “We are delighted with these three new tyres. Building on Continental’s traditional performance and safety they complement our Twist sports tyre and K62 traditional design and give dealers and consumers a wider choice from a trusted manufacturer.”
