Tructyre goes live with Cam’s integrated casing management
Fleet tyre management company Trucktyre has integrated Cam Systems’ recently launched casing management module into its UniSerV suite, leading to an increase in the speed and efficiency of its job card system and a 90 per cent reduction in its paper transfer. The module also eliminates double entries and improves data accuracy and tracking. Trucktyre says it processes 6,500 breakdown job cards each month.
The majority of tyre manufacturers have their own casing returns processes, which often attract considerable paperwork. UniSerV, with the new casing management system, call logging, integrated mapping and document manager installed, enables the company to track each individual casing “from cradle to grave”. Tructyre managing director Glenn Sherwood says this streamlining has increased efficiency and accuracy. The system allows users to access the current location of individual truck tyre casings and their current value instantly.
Sherwood states: “In this complex business, effective tracking of valuable casings is imperative. We’ve been really impressed with the way that Cam has been able to integrate its casing management programme into UniSerV, enabling us to become virtually paperless and considerably more efficient and accurate.
Mike Allen, managing director of Cam Systems, says: “It’s imperative that customers have an ongoing view of the value of their expensive tyre assets once they have been removed from the vehicle. The integrated casing management module provides enhanced clarity and visibility of the total process.”
