Formula One opens two new depots in South

UK chain Formula One Autocentres has announced the opening of two new depots in August 2011, following its expansion programme and bringing the total number of sites to 58. The new centres are situated in Basingstoke and West Quay, Southampton. Leon Glencross, managing director of F1 Autocentres, comments: “We identified West Quay and Basingstoke as key areas because the properties fit the F1 profile requirements in that they are highly visible, have ease of access and onsite parking”.

The West Quay branch is located at Unit 45, City Industrial Park, West Quay Road, Southampton; the Basingstoke depot is at Unit 1, Winchester Road Trade Park on Lister Road. The new branches will bring between six and nine job opportunities to each area, and both branches will offer the chain’s full range of services. These include MOT Testing, Laser four-wheel alignment and air con re-gas services.

The company, established in 1969, has depots throughout the South, South East and Midlands, with more than 450 staff.
