Conti OE for Mercedes CLS, vans

Continental has announced its latest two original equipment contracts with Mercedes-Benz. The German tyre maker will supply tyres for the CLS saloon and high-end versions of the Mercedes Viano and Vito vans.

In relation to the CLS fitment, Continental comments: “Mercedes decided on tyres from the development department of Europe’s leading tyre manufacturer since the tyre models transfer handling performance reliably to the road while saving fuel.” The tyre maker will supply its ContiSportContact 5 P MO (the “MO” stands for Mercedes Original Equipment) in sizes 255/35 R 19 and 285/30 R 1. The Viano and Vito will be fitted with the ContiSportContact 5 – a tyre Conti calls the ContiSportContact 5 P’s “little brother” – in size 245/45 R 19.
