ATS Euromaster wins Arc Fleet deal
ARC Fleet Solutions has switched its tyre-servicing relationship from a large national provider and appointed ATS Euromaster to supply, fit and service tyres across its 300-strong business rental fleet. The executive car and van hire specialist reportedly chose ATS Euromaster for the wide range of tyres it stocks in each of its 370 centres.
ARC Fleet Solutions’ director Paul Winter said: “In the past, suppliers have not always been able to fit the tyres we wanted when we wanted them. ATS Euromaster’s network is geared up to provide a range of both car and van tyres, making it a more suitable supplier for a corporate rental fleet like ours, where brand preferences can vary according to customer application and remaining contract length.”
Winter also cited the service provider’s eagerness to “go beyond the call of duty” as a reason for the switch. He said: “We have used ATS Euromaster several times before, when its centres were more conveniently-placed than our regular provider’s. On one occasion we had to collect five vans from a customer’s site, our drivers arrived late in the afternoon only to find a number of tyres were damaged. We contacted the local ATS Euromaster centre which agreed to stay open late and fit new tyres, saving us the cost of booking a hotel for the drivers and waiting until morning to move the vans.”
Under the new agreement, customers calling ARC with a tyre issue will be directed to their nearest service centre using ATS Euromaster’s online store locator. They also have the option of pre-booking a mobile fitting van from the service provider’s 1,000-strong fleet – the UK’s largest – which can replace and repair tyres onsite.
ARC will be invoiced for tyres replaced due to normal wear and tear, and customers will pay in the cases of abnormal wear or damage. The company’s preferred brand, Avon, will be fitted unless ARC staff request otherwise due to atypical customer requirements or contract length.
ARC Fleet Solutions operates from two depots in Nottingham and Sunbury-on-Thames. Its corporate customers are spread throughout the UK.
