Armond Boyes third in a series of retirements at Pelmar
The Pelmar Group has announced that Armond Boyes, managing director of its North American subsidiary, Pelmar USA LLC is to retire on 1 November 2011. Armond Boyes joined the Pelmar Group in 2008 from his previous position as general manger for retreading at Goodyear North America. He will continue as a consultant and will remain on the company's board of directors. No decision has yet been made about who will replace Boyes, but the company reports that it is considering a number of candidates.
This news marks the third retirement at the company in the last 12 months, first was Richard Wilkinson, managing Director of Pelmar Engineering UK Ltd, formerly from Dunlop UK. Next, engineer Peter Riess, managing director of Pelmar Engineering Germany GmbH, formerly from Dunlop Germany retired. Pat McDonagh, formerly of Dunlop UK and Robert Adam, formerly of Semperit/Continental Austria, respectively took over from their predecessors.
In all three cases, the retirement programme was agreed upon more than a year in advance. And all three continue to work with Pelmar as part-time consultants and remain as members of the board of directors of their respective companies.
The Pelmar Group is forecasting another record year in 2011, following a record year in 2010. The majority of the Pelmar Group subsidiaries, including its industrial arm, TGL SP Industries Ltd., have reported growth exceeding 15 per cent above 2010 sales and revenues. According to the company, 2011 shows a very significant growth of sales in Europe and South East Asia with two significant projects in East Europe.
