Japfest 2: The Evolution, the second event in the Adrian Flux Auto Series for high performance Japanese cars, was launched last year at Rockingham. In 2011, the event promises to be “bigger, faster, more interactive” and will this year take place at one of UK motorsport’s heartlands, Donington Park. Visitors to the circuit, which has hosted some of the finest series in motorsport, can expect an action packed day to rival the original Japfest event, and those wanting to explore the performance limits of their own cars can book public track time for just £20 per session on the National Circuit. Rides in ‘Drift Taxis’ are also available, allowing those not wanting to drive to experience the thrill of a high performance passenger ride. World Class Drift Demos by teams from the Maxxis British Drift Championship, as well as precision driving, stunt displays and a whole host of other Japanese car-based entertainment will take place in the live action arena. There will also be a special appearance by the British Touring Car Championship’s Team Dynamics and current championship leader Matt Neal, who will be in action.
