SRT sells Saransk rubber products plant

Sibur – Russian Tyres reports that in June it finalised a deal on the sale of its share in the ‘OJSC Saransk Plant Rezinotekhnika’ operation. The decision to sell its 83.11 per cent stake in the rubber products manufacturer (who reportedly holds an eight per cent share of Russia’s rubber products market) to CSC Kurskrezinotekhnika, a manufacturer of conveyor belts, hoses and other technical rubber goods, was made in line with Sibur – Russian Tyres’ strategic decision to focus on tyre manufacture. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.
