Michelin Romania forecasts 25% truck tyre sales increase

Michelin says it anticipates selling 25 per cent more truck tyres in Romania this year compared with 2010. The Romania Business Insider reports Michelin Romania marketing manager Alina Ghica as stating the company’s sales of new trucks should hit 400,000 units during 2011; during the first five months of the year sales increased almost 40 per cent to 130,000 units. “Last year, around 320,000 units were sold in Romania. We estimate an advance of 25 percent from 2010”, said Ghica.
