KRT adds Matador and Antyre truck tyres to its range

Kings Road Tyres (KRT) has been appointed as the exclusive UK distributor in for the Matador truck and bus tyre range. The Matador brand is part of the Continental family of products and is produced in Europe. KRT’s newly acquired range includes 17.5, 19.5, 20 and 22.5-inch tyres.

In addition to Matador, KRT has also added Antyre to its line up. Again, Antyre is exclusive to KRT in the UK. Sizes will include 295/80 R22.5, 295/60 R22.5, 305/70 R22.5, 315/80 R22.5, 315/70 R22.5 and 315/60 R22.5. According to the company, this range will increase in the coming months.

KRT continues in the company’s claim to be at the forefront of truck tyre distribution in the UK and representatives are open about the fact that the wholesaler is always looking at ways to expand its business. Due to the current product shortages and constant price increases this isn’t always easy to achieve. However, KRT states that the firm achieved excellent truck tyre results in the first half of 2011 and is looking to continue this through into the second half of the year. And it seems clear that the adoption of the two new brands will be a welcome step towards achieving this goal.

Tim Bader, marketing manager for KRT commented: “Matador is a brand that KRT are proud to be associated with, further demonstrating that leading manufacturers, by supporting KRT, can increase both KRT’s and their own share of the UK TBR market. The addition of Matador to KRT’s TBR portfolio, will again show how committed we are to offering our UK customers, the widest range of product choice for TBR tyres”.

Despite the current shortages, KRT reports that the company has maintained high levels of TBR stocks, delivering what they believe to be the biggest penetration into the TBR market. Customers can choose from brands such as Bridgestone, Firestone, Kingstone, Aeolus, Pirelli, Continental, Antyre and Matador, available in long haul to mixed service fitments.

KRT’s experienced nationwide sales team operate from seven strategically placed distribution centres across the UK and offer same day, next day or 48 hours delivery, using their own fleet of vehicles.
