Hankook motorsport, YouTube sites launched
Hankook Tire has launched a new micro site dedicated to its motorsport activities and engagements. Alongside reports and information on the various Hankook-sponsored championships, including the DTM(Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters), Le Mans, VLN, Super GT, Formula D, Time Attack Series and CRC (China Rally Championship), motorsport fans will find images and videos plus downloadable wallpaper images. The “Hankook Competition” micro site is located at www.hankooktiremotorsports.com or alternatively can be found by clicking the ‘motorsport’ link on the company’s main homepage.
Accompanying the new micro site is a new YouTube channel. Here Hankook will present company information plus films and short documentaries about the various racing series it sponsored. Furthermore, the Hankook YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/user/HankookEUHQ ) page offers fans the opportunity to contact the tyre manufacturer and other motorsport enthusiasts directly as all videos can be publicly commented upon. Visitors to the page also have the option to register for daily e-mail updates by clicking on the portal’s ‘favourite’ link.
“We have significantly expanded our motorsport engagement in 2011. Since the beginning of the year, we are the exclusive tyre provider to the DTM and have successfully completed the first couple of races. We as Hankook want to share these experiences with our fans and give them the opportunity to be a part of it,” commented He-See Ahn, vice-president of Marketing & Sales at Hankook Tire Europe. “The YouTube channel and our new micro site open up new opportunities to get in touch with our customers. We feel this is a great opportunity for us and we plan to make more use of it moving forward.”
