CV Show confirms 2012 dates
The Commercial Vehicle Show LLP has announced plan for another full CV Show to be held at the NEC, Birmingham, from 24-26 April 2012. The announcement follows positive feedback from the 2011 CV Show which attracted over 16,000 people. The CV Show LLP also announced the appointment of Crystal Communications to manage the organisation of the Show, including sales, marketing and operations.
“The CV Show is the UK’s leading showcase for road transport, demonstrating the full capabilities of the sector and its importance to the broader economy. It has fast become a well-established fixture on the industry’s calendar so I am pleased to confirm details for the 2012 event,” said RHA chief executive, Geoff Dunning. “This year’s show beat all our expectations setting the scene for a tremendous event in 2012 for both exhibitors and visitors alike.”
SOE chief executive, Nick Jones added: “Despite the weak economic conditions, the 2011 CV Show attracted an impressive display of exhibitors and an enthusiastic set of visitors. I am delighted that our winning formula will be repeated next year and am confident that Crystal Communications will deliver an unmissable event in 2012.”
“The CV Show is a great opportunity to showcase the latest developments in road transport technology, demonstrating the industry’s achievements in lowering emissions and improving fuel efficiency,” said SMMT Chief Executive, Paul Everitt. “The 2012 CV Show is set to build on the success of this year’s event, attracting an even greater range of exhibitors and creating new business opportunities.”
The Commercial Vehicle Show LLP consists of the Road Haulage Association Ltd (RHA), The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders Ltd (SMMT) and IRTE Services Ltd, the trading company of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE).
