The Parts Alliance signs £20m+ Kwik-Fit brake supply contract
The Parts Alliance has announced that it has signed a contract woth more than £20 million with Kwik-Fit to supply braking products to the fast fit network. Under the new agreement, which The Parts Alliance calls one of the largest to be awarded for a single product group in the UK aftermarket, the network will supply all replenishment stocks and on demand braking requirements nationwide. Kwik-Fit currently has 676 retail centres in the UK, and is a major installer of braking, though its supplier says it will seek to develop the product group further in its new partnership.
Mike Curry, sales director national accounts for The Parts Alliance, said: “This is a major contract win for The Parts Alliance and positions our group as a key player within National Accounts. Our breadth of product range and our ability to provide a local service underlines our commitment to be the leading supplier to this industry sector.”
Grahame Forsyth, Kwik-Fit said: “This partnership will allow us to offer an extensive range of products and services to better meet the demands of our customers and ensure that we remain at the forefront of our industry. The Parts Alliance has the pedigree and the quality we expect to meet this demand.”
The Parts Alliance is a major supplier of parts, equipment and training facilities to garages and workshops throughout the UK. It has recently moved to new 10,000 sq ft central offices in Solihull, West Midlands, and operates through a network of more than 150 locations. The Parts Alliance members continue to expand and increase investment in their group infrastructure, and the last six months have seen double-digit growth in its national account business, winning a number of recent key supply contracts, according to the network.
