Nexen ramping up European SUV marketing with 28” HP tyre

Korean tyre manufacturer Nexen Tyre has announced an increase in its activities within the European luxury SUV segment, with a range of high performance products including the Roadian HP in the size 325/35R28. This is the largest Roadian HP tyre, specially developed for tuned SUVs or high-performance recreational vehicles, such as the Car Film Components Hummer presented at the beginning of May the the Tuning World Bodensee 2011 show in Germany.

Produced in Korea, the Roadian HP 325/35R28 is approved for speeds up to 149mph (240 km/h), with a V speed rating. The tyre’s directional profile design combines V-shaped centre ribs with straight profile sections in the wide shoulder block, providing increased lateral control. The tyre also offers better braking and handling on dry and wet surfaces, also reducing the risk of aquaplaning, Nexen says. It is available internationally in fitments ranging from 16” to 28” and in widths from 215 to 325 mm, with H and V speed rating.

Nexen says it has developed high performance products with particular success on the US market for many years, thanks to its wide range of SUV tyres.
