Franchise award for etyres
The winners of the 22nd bfa (British Franchise Association) HSBC Franchisor of the Year Awards, supported by Express Newspapers, have been revealed in front of nearly 300 of the UK's franchise businesses and experts.
Five winners across three categories were selected following 15 finalist presentations to the expert judging panel in May. The winners, revealed at the Heritage Motor Centre, Warwickshire, were felt to bring to life the most entrepreneurial, ethical franchising in the UK today, regardless of business sector, size or geography.
bfa HSBC Franchisor of the Year awards went to:
- Gold – McDonald’s
- Silver – Home Instead Senior Care
- Bronze – etyres
- HSBC Franchisee Support Award – Autosmart
Brian Smart, director general, bfa, commented on the winners: “This has been another inspirational year for franchising. Each year the awards unearth fantastic success stories and demonstrations of ethical franchising at work. Our judging panel were presented with some of the best examples of innovation, brand development and franchisee support that they have ever seen and it has been a privilege to recognise these truly outstanding franchisors. Each of our winners is a credit to the sector.”
Of interest to this magazine was the Bronze award to online tyre retailer etyres. Tony Bowman, director, etyres commented on receiving the award: “Building an innovative, efficient and sustainable business has helped us to attract and retain some fantastic franchise owners, which has been the key to our growing success as a Franchisor. Receiving this award is wonderful recognition of this, as well as a fantastic morale boost for our whole team.”
