Corghi opens lifting equipment school
At Autopromotec Corghi officially announced the opening of the firm’s new school for lifting equipment at the company's plant in Prato di Correggio. The school occupies an area of 2000 square metres where the complete new lift range is on display.
"The school is just one of the steps we have taken as a group to meet the target we set ourselves; to become a leading player in the lifting equipment sector," Cinzia Corghi told Tyres & Accessories. She went on to say that; "To achieve this goal, in the last two years we have taken several opportunities that have presented themselves, which have provided the highly skilled professionals at Corghi with the opportunity to innovate and develop exciting technologies and production methods in order to expand our range of lifting equipment."
Corghi occupied an exceptionally large booth during Autopromotec 2011, occupying 1800 square metres of show space. As you might expect on a stand of this size, the garage equipment company displayed a wide range of technological machinery and was manned by a large team.
Garage machinery firm has ‘tyre changers in its DNA’
The centrepiece of the Corghi stand was the newly developed tyre changer, the Master Code. Working presentations of the Master Code are said to have attracted “many hundreds of visitors” who showed a great deal of interest in the range of Corghi products.
Corghi is purportedly the principle creator of the tyre changer and in order to recall this invention, as well as demonstrate that “Corghi has the tyre changer in its DNA,” the Master Code name was born. Large drawings of this Corghi DNA were sketched and displayed all around the whole of the company’s stand.
Other machines were presented covering the whole of the company’s product rang; from truck tyre changers, car tyre changers, wheel balancers, wheel aligners, lifts and testing equipment. Three areas in hall 19 were dedicated to Corghi’s special relationship with the tyre world and, in particular, its collaboration with Michelin, Fiat, Ducati and Magneti Marelli.
