Al Futtaim introduces UAE's first 4D Master Aligner
Al Futtaim Motors’ new Express Tyre & Battery fitting centre recently became Dubai’s first firm to fit what is purportedly “the fastest wheel aligner in the world” by introducing the 4D Master Aligner. Located in Al Quoz Dubai, the FastFit branch is described as a one-stop shop solution for those benchmarked services and fast turnaround times.
The 4D Master Aligner reportedly operates 50 per cent faster than any other wheel aligning machine in the UAE market today. It uses cameras to capture eight measurements per second, guaranteeing real-time visualisation of data on the control unit screen, along with LCD repeaters integrated into the rear measuring heads, permitting simultaneous work under the vehicle on adjustment operations.
The 4D Master aligner also allows for operation to be carried out via drive-through bays, while the actual 4D control unit is placed at an appropriate area within the workshop. In comparison to its predecessors, the 4D Master aligner does not require maintaining a fixed distance between the sensor and lift, with the additional option of skipping run-out proceeds owing to a calibrated coupling target-clamp. The alignment station is equipped with special three point clamps to avoid any damage to alloy rims, while the compact precision minimises disturbances when working Turntables with automatic sideways movements and pneumatic locking system.
Arsalan Mirza, manager, Al-Futtaim Motors Tyres and Batteries Division, said: “At Al Futtaim Motors, we are constantly upgrading our services to provide our valuable customers with the latest state-of-the-art equipment. The UAE’s passion for vehicles is well known and to be able to offer the best in Automotive service while reducing turnaround times will surely be valued and welcomed.”
Sadao Ichihara, corporate officer, Toyo Tire Co. and Hiroaki Koike, president and CEO, Sojitz Automotive & Engineering Inc, inaugurated the centre in June in the presence of several Al-Futtaim Motors officials. According to the company, the delegation, which included a number of other Japanese dignitaries, were said to have been impressed with the services FastFit offers, the skill sets of its employees and by the retail sales and service operations growth recorded by Al-Futtaim Motors over the past 10 years. The visitors indicated their intention to recommend Al-Futtaim Motors’ business model comprising Tyre Express and FastFit centres to their other Gulf distributors.
FastFit supplies some of the world’s leading brands of tyres including Toyo, BF Goodrich and Maxxis as well as Panasonic Car Batteries and GS Batteries suitable for all passenger cars, 4x4s, sport utility vehicles and light commercial vehicles.
