Surprising results for Bridgestone survey at 2011 CV Show
Bridgestone is reporting and surprising insights into what people really look for when it comes to choosing their commercial vehicle tyres gleaned from the thousands of visitors at this year’s CV Show. The Bridgestone stand, which incorporated the Rizla Suzuki MotoGP bike, also offered visitors the chance to win two hospitality tickets to the British MotoGP in exchange for a crucial piece of information – what is the single most important factor in your choice of tyre supplier?
The competition proved extremely popular, attracting over 550 visitors to fill in their details to be in with a chance to win the money can’t buy prize. The results showed an impressive 39 per cent believed that durability and quality are the defining factor, above price, grip, safety and availability, giving the industry something to think about.
Andy Dingley, communications manager at Bridgestone UK, commented: “We are really pleased with how popular the Bridgestone stand was this year at the CV Show. The results from the competition data collection exercise have been a really interesting insight into what our customers really look for in tyre solutions.”
Bridgestone also launched its new Ecopia range to fleets. Ecopia takes environmental tyres to a new level, not just offering fuel saving for the fleet operator, but designed with the environment in mind right from raw materials, through manufacturing, a long lifetime in operation, then to retreading and disposal.
