Scorpion introduces Mini Countryman system
Derbyshire-based exhaust manufacturer Scorpion Exhausts has launched a system for the Mini Countryman that it says offers “genuine performance gains and a sublime soundtrack.” The UK designed and hand-fabricated exhaust system utilises T304 63.5mm aerospace grade stainless steel tubing and precision CNC mandrel bends to optimise gas-flow and improve throttle response across the rev range.
The new Mini system bolts directly to the factory front catalyst, which according to Scorpion provides the perfect balance between full road legality and ultimate performance and ensures the car’s emissions stay very close to factory parameters despite a notable power increase. The exhaust note has been carefully honed to offer a truly sporting tone without being obtrusive in the cabin, the manufacturer adds. The centre section has an OEM style flexi-joint to allow for engine movement, with the system running straight through, before terminating in two carefully designed boxes, terminating in 90mm Imola trims to accentuate the Mini’s shapely rear. The entire system is priced at £719.99 including VAT.
