German biking magazine awards Bridgestone Battlax BT-016 Pro Hypersport
Germany’s PS motorcycle sport magazine has released its 2011 tyre test results, with Bridgestone’s Battlax BT-016 Battlax BT-016 Pro Hypersport receiving top honours. The full wet and dry evaluation of size 120/70 ZR 17 (front) and 180/55 ZR 17 (rear) on a Honda CBR 600 RR with ABS was conducted on an international testing circuit in southern Europe in spring 2011.
With the fastest lap time and shortest braking distance (48.2 meters from 100 km/h), the BT-016 Pro Hypersport was the clear winner in the wet and joint overall test winner. “The BT-016 Pro wins the rain evaluation and produces a very harmonious impression” concludes PS magazine.
The Battlax BT-016 is designed to give sport bike enthusiasts the grip performance of Bridgestone’s MotoGP multi-layer compound technology, says the manufacturer. Combined with Bridgestone’s latest construction and pattern expertise, it gives the BT-016 Pro Hypersport exceptional contact feel, stability and grip in all conditions.
“Using MotoGP technologies, the BT-016 Pro shows a real advantage on wet performance for hypersport and roadster bikes” says David Lecat, senior manager motorcycle tyres, Bridgestone Europe. “Combined with its perfect handling and excellent stability at high speeds, the BT-016 Pro will satisfy all riders. What is better than riding for fun while staying safe?”
