Eurotire Ukraine training centre opens its doors
Eurotire’s Ukraine training centre, located in Dnepropetrovsk, has opened its doors. According to the company, the Eurotire Training Center will act as an educational facility for Eurotire employees and customers alike. Training will include technical, safety, commercial, and industrial instruction. The aim of Eurotire’s training centre is said to be to further education in the mining industry regarding all OTR related matters. Jack James, a long-time OTR veteran and experienced OTR instructor, has been named director of the centre.
The Eurotire Training Center successfully graduated the first official Eurotire Certified personnel in March 2011. The training included a visit to the Eurotire Ukrainian factory, and a two-day mine site visit. Eleven Eurotire sales representatives from Ghana, Brazil, Russia, Kazakhstan and Ukraine attended training.
As part of the practical training program, mine site visits were undertaken to large scale mining operations located in the region. During the site visit the trainees were given the chance to apply classroom instruction on safety and technical matters to the real world of mining.
“Everyone left the course with a better understanding of the OTR Industry and Eurotire’s method of selling” stated Jack James, director of the new Eurotire Training Center.
