Autopromotec debut for Alligator, TyreCheck aftermarket TPMS sensor
Amongst the new products on display at the Autopromotec 2011 show in Bologna, which begins today, is the ‘sens.it’ universal replacement sensor for TPMS systems. This sensor, developed by German firm Alligator Ventilfabrik, is being brought to the market in partnership with Ireland’s TyreCheck and is said to cover 90 per cent of all original equipment TPMS. It is being shown at Autopromotec along with TyreCheck’s ‘Incontact’ tyre retailer sales and marketing solution.
TyreCheck collaborated with Alligator in the introduction of the new sens.it TPMS product by through the provision of software and database solutions as well as the programming applications. Merging Alligator’s valve hardware, which is used to satisfy all mechanical installations for metal clamp-in and rubber snap-in valves, with TyreCheck’s tyre management software, sens.it is designed to enable tyre shops to provide a complete solution for the replacement of OE TPMS sensors.
“We are very pleased that our smart new technologies and our successful collaboration with the world-leading valve supplier Alligator, has aided the introduction to the market of this unique universal TPMS replacement sensor,” commented TyreCheck managing director Michael O’Dwyer. “The technologies we have deployed in the invention of this product stems from our tyre retailer sales and marketing solution Incontact, which has been enhanced with additional functionality this year. Both solutions will enable tyre shops of all sizes to extend their own business services, lower costs and galvanise additional sales and revenues. We look forward to extensively rolling out these latest products, as well as our suite of fleet management solutions for truck and bus, into the European and US markets in the immediate future.”
